Brits want and need UBI… as do Americans, Canadians and people from multiple Western European nations
The UBI argument is won worldwide. Our opponents have lost. I constantly come across studies from the U.S., Canada, Western European nations and the UK... demonstrating that we have won the argument.
Now its simply time for implementation.
Here are some of the studies.
UK
This Opinium Study, reported here by the Guardian is from October 2021 and shows that 69% of Brits support Universal Basic Income. UBI defined for respondents as… Providing a sufficient minimum income to meet everyday living costs available for all, whether in or out of work. Incidentally, support is from across the political spectrum including 57% of Conservative voters supporting UBI, 22% oppose.
Meanwhile this detailed London School of Economics report from 2020, discovered widespread support for UBI in both the UK and U.S. Quoting from the Report,… “Both in the UK and the USA, people were much more supportive of a UBI policy for the pandemic and its aftermath than they would have been in normal times. The effect was large and held across ages, genders, and political orientations. The shift was there both when we simply asked people how much they supported UBI, and when we asked them to choose between a UBI and an equally generous targeted alternative”. https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/politicsandpolicy/covid19-support-ubi/
Canada
Canadians are ready for UBI, with 6 in 10 Canadians supporting UBI as high as $30,000 a year! http://angusreid.org/universal-basic-income-covid19/
That equates to the death of economic right wing hegemony in Canada!
Western Europe
Support for Universal Basic Income in the six largest Western European nations was at around the 68% mark in 2017. (up from 64% in 2014 according to this Dalia Research Study. https://basicincome.org/news/2017/05/survey-of-11000-europeans-finds-68-would-vote-for-basic-income/
Quoting from the Report on the study… “68% of respondents said that if a referendum on basic income was introduced now, they would vote for it. In 2016, this number stood at 64%. Thus, taking into account the margin of error, support for basic income appears to have increased slightly across the EU in the past year. Meanwhile, the proportion who said that they would oppose the referendum remained stable, at 24%”.
United States
October 2021 detailed Poll Study: 67% of over 1,000 Americans surveyed in new poll support UBI… uniting people working in finance with people earning under $25,000. Only 20% oppose.

Conclusion
It’s time for UBI… worldwide!
